Do you need some tips on how ofter you should get the oil of your car changed? Here it the rule of thumb for keeping your car well maintained.

It is important to change your oil every 3000 miles, if you really want to keep all the parts in your car happy and coated with fresh oil free of metal partials. If this is the case  then 2500 miles will do the trick.

The filter will catch most of the partials  in the 3000 miles range after that you risk damage to your engine and its components.  Also have the rest of your fluids, wipers and tires checked at this time.

Look at inspection sticker expire date maybe it’s time while your oils getting changed. This save time another day when the sticker is up.

    I agree that changing your oil every 3000 miles is ideal, but frankly the speaker wasn’t very convincing. Saying “just read the manual” would have been equally effective in my book.

    Regardless, I appreciate the message and it provoked some additional thought on how I approach my vehicle’s maintenance.
